About Me
Hello, everyone! I'm Delores, an experienced and passionate art educator eager to share my knowledge and expertise with you. With over 40 years of experience in graphic design, fine art, marketing, and theatrical design, I have had the pleasure of mentoring thousands of students throughout my career.
I received my education in Manitoba, Canada, and have honed my skills through decades of graphic design experience. I have worked on diverse projects, such as illustrating content for online nursing courses, laying out complete books from cover to cover, and even animating for a French Canadian animated TV series. Additionally, I have been licensing my art for over twenty years, including designing gift products for RUSS, the Teddy Bear and Gift Company, which have been sold worldwide.
Drawing inspiration from nature's vibrant colors, I love exploring various mediums like acrylic paint, ink, markers, and especially digital painting. I am well-versed in Procreate, Affinity Designer, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and more.
As I continue my teaching journey, I am thrilled to have created a community of talented artists. Through my real-world experience, I offer valuable insights derived from everyday challenges. Witnessing my students unlock their true potential is incredibly rewarding, and I am committed to delivering high-quality content while fostering the development of a wide range of skills.
In 2022, I established the School of Art as a labor of love after overcoming cancer. The classes and coaching I have designed aim to create a nurturing and enjoyable learning experience. I am driven by the belief that my purpose lies in helping students discover their potential.
